About The Wright Mindset

Psychological support should be proactive, accessible, and grounded in both performance and wellbeing. The Wright Mindset was built on the belief that athletes and individuals deserve structured, evidence-informed support that recognises identity, health, and context not just outcomes.

Practice Mission

The Wright Mindset exists to make psychological support more accessible and developmentally informed within sport and exercise environments.

Psychological support should not be reserved for elite performers or introduced only during moments of crisis. It should be available earlier, delivered ethically, and integrated into performance environments in a way that strengthens both wellbeing and long-term development.

Particular focus is given to youth development, transition periods within sport, and supporting individuals navigating complex health conditions that influence confidence, identity, and engagement with sport or exercise.

About Stephanie

Stephanie Wright, sport and exercise psychologist supporting athletes and active individuals

Stephanie Wright, BSc, MSc, SEPiT

“I work at the intersection of performance, identity, and health.”

Alongside professional training, my approach is informed by lived understanding of how identity and health influence performance. I hold a focused interest in the psychological impact of menstrual health, endometriosis, PCOS, and other chronic or complex conditions on confidence, identity, and long-term engagement in sport and exercise.

The Wright Mindset reflects a commitment to thoughtful, developmentally informed psychological practice, where performance and wellbeing are not treated as separate.

My practice is grounded in the belief that sustainable performance is shaped not only by mental skills, but by how an athlete understands themselves, navigates change, manages pressure  and relates to their body.

I am a Sport & Exercise Psychologist in Training (SEPiT), completing my supervised experience via the Chartered Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (CASES),with applied experience across academy, widening participation, and university sport environments. My work focuses on supporting athletes and individuals through transition periods, confidence disruption, injury, and complex health challenges.
